Assam Rifles conducts fogging operations

Imphal, September 27 2024:
Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South), conducted an extensive fogging operations to combat mosquito-borne diseases in various parts of Imphal East and Imphal West districts on September 23 & 24, 2024 .
The operations took place in Brahmapur Lalji Lakpa Leikai (Imphal East) and Keishamthong Laisom Leirak (Imphal West), areas severely affected by recent outbreaks of dengue and malaria, said a release issued by HQ IGAR(S) .
In a bid to safeguard public health, Assam Rifles implemented comprehensive fogging and spraying activities, extending to nearby areas to maximize efforts in controlling the spread of diseases, particularly during the monsoon season when dengue and malaria pose a serious risk.
Local leaders, village heads, Meira Paibis, and residents expressed their deep gratitude for the timely intervention, praising Assam Rifles for their continued efforts to ensure community health and safety.
