Imphal, August 19 2024: On behalf of All Manipur Nupi Marup and National Federation of Indian Women (NFIW), Th Shakti Devi has strongly condemned the brutal killing and rape of Dr Moumita Debnath at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital on August 9.Th Shakti Devi is the president of AMNM and a vice-president of NFIW.

Stating that the incident is a source of shame for all Indians, the press release issued by AMNM said that West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and the BJP-led NDA Union Government should take moral responsibility for the unfortunate incident and resign.

The statement also raised questions on the inefficacy of the State and the Union Government in booking the culprits involved.
