Jiribam, February 19 2026: A one-day training programme on "Community Mobilization and Media Activities" was held today at the Conference Hall of PWD Guest House, Babupara, in Jiribam district.

The training programme was organised by the ZEO/DPO Jiribam, under the sponsorship of Samagra Shiksha Manipur.

It was attended by principals, headmasters and headmistress of various Government and Government-aided schools, along with convemors of School Management Committees (SMCs).

During the event, ZEO Jiribam, Thoudam Amurashi Chanu, MES; DI L Roshan Meitei and Retd M Ibochouba Singh attended as dais members and addressed the participants.

The session was followed by an interactive discussion.

Deliberations during the programme focused on strengthening schools through active involvement of SMCs, effective discharge of responsibilities, and proper utilisation of funds released from time to time.

Participants also discussed ways to improve academic standards and ensure better outcomes for students.
