Talk meaningless, say Kuki-Zo MLAs

Four Kuki-Zo MLAs, who are at the national capital for the meeting initiated by the Ministry of Home Affairs, claimed that they did not attend the joint meeting with Meetei and Naga MLAs but only met with officials of the MHA and BJP leaders.
Kuki-Zo MLAs namely Letpao Haokip, Nemcha Kipgen, Ngursanglur Sanate and Haokholet Kipgen attended the meeting convened by the MHA.
A joint statement of the four MLAs said as representatives of the Kuki-Zo communities they will never waver or compromise with the people's call for establishment a separate administration or Union Territory with legislature.
The statement asserted that talk of peace will be meaningless if their political demand is not honoured.
In case, there is a need to sit with the Meetei and the Nagas in the future, they will only do so after consulting the Kuki-Zo CSOs, the joint statement said.
