Imphal, August 10 2025: The Apunba Sorokhaibam Sagei Trust (ASST), continuing its mission of extending help to individuals of Sorokhaibam sub-clan in times of distress, has provided financial assistance of Rs 12,000 to the family members of Late Sorokhaibam Ibemcha Devi (55) to support her final rites ceremony.

Sorokhaibam Ibemcha Devi, who had been displaced from Moreh Premnagar following the May 3 incident, initially took shelter at the Lamboi Khongnangkhong Relief Camp before moving to Langol Game village.

According to ASST, Sorokhaibam Ibemcha, w/o Late Sorokhaibam Birbal, passed away after receiving treatment at RIMS Hospital.

On learning of her demise, member of the Trustincluding, vice-president Naba Sorokhaibam along with secretary Basanta Sorokhaibam, Treasurer Manglemjao Sorokhaibam, Convenor Ojit Sorokhaibam, and other key members visited her residence and handed over the monetary aid to her grieving family.
