Imphal, May 29 2009: SBI ATM launch in Senapati today ends a long wait of the hundreds of customers in the district.

M.Sushil Kumar,IPS, DIGP,Range-IV inaugurated the ATM with the bankers, public leaders and customers in a humble gathering.

Introduction was made by S Besii Bosco, Branch Manager, SBI Senapati before Sushil Kumar spoke to the participants.

Sushil, in his speech said, that ATM finally arrived as good news for the people of Senapati.

ATM give the public an easy transaction of money, safety, save time, etc.

Now customers can withdraw money any time and any place with the Card.

He suggested the public to use money very wisely prioritizing the needs as money has power to make and destroy men.

Every one should be conscious while using money, he added.

Ranjit Kumar, Borkotoky, Assistant General Manager, SBI, Zonal Office (R-V),Shillong, also advised the participants to keep in mind those basic requirements in using ATM Cards.

He suggested the customers to memorize their own ATM Card Pin-No keep it confidential.

Speaking on the benefits of using ATM card, he said that now customers need not carry bulk of money as you go shopping, long journey, etc unlike in the past days.

ATM will save customers from unforeseen problems or difficulties as ATM is available in almost all the places now.

He revealed that about 111 ATM are due to be launched in the North East region.

He advised the participants to be careful while carrying ATM or withdrawing money in hazardous place like in Senapati although security will be improved for the customers and public.

He requested the Branch Manager to issue ATM to all customers so that they can enjoy the benefits of being customers of State Bank of India, Senapati Branch.
