Assam Rifles extends aid to IDPs

Bishnupur/CCPur, July 19 2024: Assam Rifles undertook significant humanitarian initiatives to support Internally Displaced Personnel (IDPs) in relief camps at Oksongbung and Tronglaobi in Sendra Village, Bishnupur district yesterday.

Assam Rifles in a statement informed that they distributed storage water tanks, basic hygiene and sanitation items to a total of 150 villagers.

In another incident, Assam Rifles provided urgent medical assistance to Liatneilhing, a 34-year-old resident of Santing village, Churachandpur district, who suffered a snake bite on her right leg while working in the fields.

The medical staff promptly administered essential care stabilizing her condition.

Liatneilhing is now on the road to recovery.

These initiatives by Assam Rifles underscore their dedication to the well-being and safety of the communities they serve.

Through these acts, Assam Rifles continue to uphold their legacy of service to aggrieved populace during the communal violence, added the statement.
