Ukhrul, August 10 2025: The Hunphun Baptist Church ( HBC) Choir enthralled the congregation with vibrant performances of music and songs during its 58 th anniversary celebration, held under the theme "Sing with Jesus" at Luiyainao Ukhrul.

In his exhortation speech, former Choir Director Wungmayo Zimik highlighted the vital role of the choir in church life.

He noted that music profoundly impacts the mind, uplift mood, reduces stress, enhances memory, and improves focus, while also fostering unity and encouraging one another in faith.

The celebration featured choral competitions with four different groups, along with double quartet and a trio competition.

Musical pieces by Phakhami Shimray & Mathanmi Shimray, as well as an eye-catching choreography by the Sunday staff of HBC, added to the event's charm.

Awards were presented to outstanding performers, with Best Male choir going to Yunkhui Raleng, Best Female choir to Shonreiphy Raleng, and Best Male Learning choir to Wurmathing HA, while Mawonyi R Shaiza received the Best Female Learning Choir for 2025 .

The Best Supporting Parents Award was given to the family of LS Philazan.

Altogether 117 choir members including 45 learning choir of HBC participated in the competition.
