Tamenglong, November 08 2024: Assam Rifles in collaboration with local NGO Liangmai Naga Katimai Ruangdi, Manipur organised a medical camp at Taningjam village of Tamenglong district and distributed stationery items and sanitary napkins to students.

The medical camp was conducted to address the health issues of the students and villagers residing in the area, said a press note issued by IGAR (S).

Approximately 300 students and villagers including women, children and elderly of Taningjam and nearby villages received general health checkup during the camp.

Medicines were also distributed and administered as per requirements.

Stationery items and sanitary napkins were distributed to students of Taningjam, Inem, Phellong and Namtiram villages.

The local populace and students have extended heartfelt gratitude to Assam Rifles for providing them with necessary basic medical facilities and stationery items despite the remoteness of their villages.
