Rotary Club of Imphal observes 50th Foundation Day

Imphal, October 31 2022: Rotary Club of Imphal (RID-3240) celebrated its '50th Foundation Day' by organizing various community based service projects at Imphal today.

As a part of the foundation day celebration, a blood donation camp was organised at American Oncology Institute, Babina Speciality Hospital, Sajiwa in Imphal East district where around 27 units of blood was donated by club members and volunteers, said a press note by the Rotary Club.

Rtn Pramod Jaiswal, President of Rotary Club of Imphal, who donated blood for the 46th time, appealed to all to voluntarily donate blood to save lives and help needy patients at the hospitals.

Later, eggs, under Rotary Egg Bank, were distributed for the month of November to three children homes of the State namely Yaibilen Children's Home and Keibi Sanapat for Imphal East district and Child Care Institute, Kabo Leikai, Dewlahland in Imphal West district.

It may be noted that the Rotary Club of Imphal also provided lunch to the school students of Konsam Tomba and Sachi School, Khurai Chairenthong in Imphal East district as part of the 50th Foundation day celebration yesterday.

Rtn Pramod Jaiswal also informed that the club which was founded on October 31, 1973 will be celebrating 50 years of service for upliftment of the community through various service projects throughout the year starting from today till October 31, 2023 as Golden Jubilee Year 2022-23 .
