COVID-19 awareness drive held at Kamjong district

As part of the Jan Andolan campaign, the 42 Assam Rifles and Kamjong District Police jointly organised a Covid-19 awareness drive at Kamjong district headquarters, today.
A public meeting was also held before the Covid-19 public rally.
Superintendent of Police (SP) Kamjong Ningam Siro detailed the objectives of organising the mass Covid-19 awareness drive in the district and added that the present Covid-19 situation in the State is worrying.
The Commandant 42 AR S Bhuyan underlined the importance of adequate precautionary measures in the workplace.
"Our economy has been seriously affected by the pandemic.
It's time to start rebuilding, but first we have to ensure that all the people are aware of the COVID-19 protection guidelines," he added.
MO 42 AR Dr H Karung spoke on the nature of coronavirus and the symptoms of an infected person.
He also mentioned the basic home treatments and ways of handling suspected persons.
The covid-19 awareness rally began from Kamjong public ground.
The AR personnel also distributed face masks and pamphlets to the villagers.
