"Music & Singing Sunday" celebrated

Imphal, April 27 2025: The Mao-Poumai Baptist Church celebrated the Music and Singing Sunday with the theme "Exploring the importance of Music and Songs".

As per a release issued by Rev L Simon Raornai, pastor of the Church, Langol, renowned Gospel singers Thanchuilu Gangmei and Lovingson Lana attended the event as guest artists.

The duo enthralled the gathering with their heart-stirring and soul-lifting songs.

The Youth choir of the Church also brought an enchanting choir piece which mesmerised the members.

At the event, Rev L Simon Raomai highlighted the importance of music and song in life, especially in worship.

He emphasised on the value of hymns and songs, stressing the art of singing and the skill of music.

He said that the world would be very boring without music and the worship would be very dry and empty without songs.

"Music comforts and consoles the bereaved and suffering.

It also heals the broken hearts.

Everyone should sing praises to almighty God, our creator and encourage one another with psalms and songs instead of fighting each other", asserted Rev L Simon Raornai.

The event concluded with a breath-taking and eye captivating choreography performed by the Sunday Bible School children of the Church.
