Awareness prog held

Jiribam, July 23 2017: A one day awareness programme on “Prospects of Education in Economic and Social Development” was held today at Jiri Ima Meira Paibi Apunba Lup (JIMPAL) hall, Jiribam organised by Jiribam Muslim Human Resource Development Society under the sponsorship of Manipur State Minorities Commission, Manipur .

The programme was attended by Chairperson of Manipur State Minorities Commission, Manipur Syed Burhan Uddin, Jiribam Muslim Human Resource Development Society advisor Dr MS Jaman, MSMC, Manipur Dr M S Ningomba, MSMC member Rev M Ranjit Singh and Imam Babupara Jame Masjid, Jiribam Maulana Ahmed Ali as dignitaries .

Speaking as resource person, Assistant Professor of Department of Education, Jiri College Okram Radheshyam Singh said that Muslims are educationally backward in Jiribam and organising such programme was essential for the students .

Maibam Priyokumar Singh (resource person) delivered a speech on the future prospects of students .

Later, Syed Burhan Uddin highlighted on various activities and schemes of Manipur State Minorities Commission and lauded all the people of Jiribam for maintaining communal harmony among the diverse communities residing in the district.
