Imphal, October 20 2024: Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board (LSTB) in collaboration with Manipur University of Culture is gearing up to organise a 15-day workshop entitled "Rite-de-passage" from November 2, 2024 .

In a release, Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board informed that the workshop will focus on the rituals/practices and professions in Sanamahi religion concerned with birth, marriage and death.

During the workshop, subject experts will educate the participants through two sessions, namely, 'general' and 'optional'.

Six professions will be highlighted in the workshop: 'Rituals/practices concerned with birth & death of Kabui people and Sanamahi religion', 'lai haraoba', "amaiba', 'wari leeba', 'pena', and 'khamnung maiba'.

Application form for the workshop will be available at the office of Lainingthou Sanamahi Temple Board located in Haying Khongbal Uphong Yumpham from October 23 onwards.

Last date for submission of the application form is October 30 .
