Imphal, April 20 2025: A 1-day orientation programme on NAAC Assessment & Accreditation was held yesterday at Manipur Technical University (MTU), Takyelpat, Imphal.

As per a release issued by Ramananda Nongmeikapam, Registrar of MTU, the programme was conducted with the objective of sensitizing the faculty members and other non-teaching staffs on the importance for NAAC assessment and accreditation and manner in which the assessment and accreditation should be carried out Prof W Chandbabu Singh, Vice Chancellor, DM University attended the programme as chief guest.

He also delivered a talk on "An overview of NAAC assessment from the perspective of NAAC Peer Team" .

Prof Wahengbam Jyotrimoy, Principal, DM College of Teacher Education and Thiyam Rockin Singh, Asst Professor,' NG College also attended the programme as resource persons.

Prof Jyotirmoy gave a detailed presentation on "An overview of binary system in NAAC Assessment" while Thiyam Rockin Singh elaborated on "Quality assessment and accreditation process in Higher Educational Institutions" and "Self Study Report (SSR) preparation" .
