Imphal, August 19 2024: MaolKeki Foundation (MKF) has awarded the 4th MKF Robert Memorial Internship to Jackson Okram from Thongju.

According to a release issued by MKF, Jackson is a Master of Computer Application student at Manipur University, Imphal.

He completed his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Dhanamanjuri College of Science.

His academic projects included predicting crop production using Machine Learning and developing a text-to-speech application using Python.

The annual internship program was launched in 2021 in memory of Robert Singh Khwairakpam who passed away from post-Covid complications.

Robert supported the MKF on various data analysis and Management Information Systems work until he was recruited full time by Syngenta Foundation India early in 2021.The internship is being implemented in partnership with Lamzing Technologies Private Limited which is a diversified IT development company based in Manipur and Hyderabad.

The certificate and cash prize were given in the presence of Robert's widow Deepamala Devi Tongbram, sister Devika Khwairakpam, Lamzing director Ailan Maibam, Nirupa Sanjenbam, Sanjit Yumnam, Dr Shachi Gurumayum and others from MKF.
