JAC postpones 12-hour Tiddim Road bandh

Bishnupur, October 15 2024: The JAC against the suspicious death of Yelam Subhaschandra has postponed the 12-hour bandh slated to commence along the Tiddim Road on October 16 after receiving assurance of an audience with the Chief Minister.

A press release issued by N Renubala Devi, convenor, JAC, said that the JAC made the decision during a meeting which was conducted after receiving word from Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh, MLA Konthoujam AC, to convene a meeting with the Chief Minister and JAC representatives on October 17.The JAC has cautioned that if their demands are not met by October 20, then the 12-hour bandh will proceed as planned on October 21 from 5 am to 5 pm along the Tiddim Road.
