Moirang, November 12 2022: A 41- year old man has died following a collision between a Maruti Gypsy and a moped (Honda Activa) near Thamnapokpi Bazar under Moirang police station this evening at around 5.20 .

The deceased has been identified as Sanasam Somendro alias Thin s/o Late S Rajo from Wangoo Ahallup Sanasam Leikai.

S Santosh, the younger brother of the deceased also sustained injuries.

Reportedly, the unregistered Honda Activa was coming from Imphal side while the Gypsy was coming from the opposite direction and they collided head on near Thamnapokpi Bazar area.

The mortal remains of Somendro have been deposited at RIMS mortuary after registering a case at Moirang police station.
