Free Eye Screening Programme conducted

UNACCO School in collaboration with Medilane Foundation and Medilane Eye Care organised the second phase of the "Free School Eye Health Screening Programme" at UNACCO School, Khongman today.
The programme was conducted for students as part of the broader "National Programme for Control of Blindness", aimed at promoting eye health and early detection of vision-related issues among young learners.
A total of 423 students (243 boys and 180 girls) from Classes I to VIII participated in the second phase of the programme, said a release issued by UNACCO School.
The screening will continue at other UNACCO Schools, including UNACCO School Meitram, UNACCO School Chanura, and UNACCO School Chanung, with specific dates to be announced later.
The comprehensive eye screening camp with the theme, "See Clearly, Learn Brightly: Screening for Brighter Tomorrows!" ensured that students receive professional eye care, contributing to their overall well-being & academic success.
Parents and guardians were also encouraged to take full advantage of this initiative to safeguard the vision health of their children.
Notably, a total of 359 students (191 boys and 168 girls) from classes IX to XII participated in the first phase of the programme held at UNACCO School, Khongman on Wednesday.
