Assam Rifles assists in recovery of vehicle from ditch

Assam Rifles responded swiftly to a distress call and successfully recovered a vehicle that had gone off-road near Songdo village in Churachandpur district.
The vehicle had suddenly gone off course on the Songdo-Moulhoih road and fell into a ditch, in which the driver sustained minor injuries.
The village chief and driver requested urgent assistance from the Assam Rifles for the recovery of the said vehicle, said a statement by the Assam Rifles.
A team of Assam Rifles with a recovery vehicle was dispatched to the site, and after three hours of effort, the vehicle was successfully retrieved.
This gesture is evident that the Assam Rifles is also involved in humanitarian activities for the people of the Northeast, showing its unwavering stance in dealing with dynamic situations apart from providing security.
The Village Chief, Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), and local residents expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for the swift response and the timely help, said the statement.
