Thoubal, November 06 2022: A team led by Thoubal Forest Division, Deputy Ranger, Md Aslam under the supervision of DFO, Th Lokendro on Sunday conducted drives against illegal poaching of birds at Ekop Pat and Waithou Pat.

Speaking to media persons, Md Aslam stated that the drive was conducted in major water bodies of Thoubal district to protect migratory birds from illegal poaching.

Pointing out that migratory birds have started visiting the State with the onset of winter, he urged all to stop illegal poaching of migratory birds.

Wildlife Warden Thoubal, W Ramchandra; members of Wildlife & Biodiversity Conservation Committee (WBCC) Manipur and staff of Beat Offices under Thoubal Range also participated in the drive.
