Imphal, March 03 2025: The Coalition Against Drugs and Alcohol (CADA) and Department of Social Work, Indira Gandhi National Tribal University (IGNTU), Regional Campus Manipur jointly organised a "One Day Awareness Campaign Against Drugs and Alcohol" at Thongju Part-II, Seva Club Community Hall yesterday.

It was attended by CADA Head Office president Hijam Priyokumar, Seva Club Meira Paibi Thongju president Thangjam Sachibala and secretary general Ningombam Ibemcha as presidium members.

CADA Head Office secretary general Takhellambam Geetchandra and vice president Ningthoujam Doren also attended the event as resource persons.

Speaking on the occasion, Ningthoujam Doren said that CADA in collaboration with the Department of Social Work, IGNTU have been conducting awareness campaigns to educate the people about the menace caused by the widespread use of drugs and other intoxicants.

Expressing concern over the increasing cases of drug abuse in the State, he called for the public's support in the fight against drug abuse to bring forth a healthy and developed society.
