Humanitarian aid extended

In a bid to help the people affected by the ongoing conflict in the State, Kiyoshi & Mourish Helping Hands Society on Sunday distributed essential food items to 200 families of Singjamei and nearby areas.
The essential food items were sponsored by Indian Railway Catering & Tourism Corporation, Government of India through its Corporate Social Responsibility Fund.
Essential items such as rice, dal, edible oil, ngari, chilli, salt, onions, etc were distributed during a function held at the residence of social worker Ngangbam Robert Singh in Singjamei Chingamathak Nameirakpam Leikai.
Similarly, Kiyoshi & Mourish Helping Hands Society also distributed essential food items at Hanuman Mandir, Sangam Vihar, New Delhi.
Meanwhile, Manipur Drivers Association (MDA) has provided monetary assistance to the bereaved family of a truck driver namely Mutum Babu (39) from Khurai Kongpal Thongam Leikai.
A team of MDA led by president Saikhom Babudhon, general secretary Ksh Sanjoy and assistant secretary Khundongbam Sangeetchoron visited the residence of Late Mutum Babu and handed over the financial aid.
The team also shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Notably, MDA provided the monetary aid as a part of its continued philanthropic activities of extending aid to drivers' community and their family members in times of need and misfortunes.
