Free medical camp held at Cachar

A free medical camp was held today at Chawtol Singha Manipuri ME School locatedatBantarapurunder Cachar District, Assam.
The camp organised by Nongthangleima Art and Cultural Organisation (NACO), Bantarapur was participated by All Assam Manipuri Doctors Organisation president, Dr H Menjor Singh and secretary Dr M Ranjit Singh along with 13 other doctors.
During the camp, over 600 patients were treated and provided the required medicines.
Speaking to media persons, Dr H Menjor Singh said that the camp was organised to provide health care facilities to the meitei/meetei populace residing in the interior village of Cachar District.
He also thanked the organiser for arranging the camp.
NACO president Haorangbam Bimal Singha also spoke at the event.
He said that only meitei/meetei doctors are engaged during the camp given the inconvenience faced by the meetei/meitei people residing in the village while consulting non-Manipuri doctors due to the language barrier.
One of the patients attending the camp said that such camp is being organised at the village for the first time and lauded the organiser and doctors present for providing the healthcare facilities to the villagers.
