Imphal, February 14 2019:
Applicants for the posts of Hindi Primary Teacher and Primary Teacher, under die-in-harness scheme of the Education Department have demanded immediate appointment without any condition, similar to how seven Primary teachers of Sadar Hills ADC were appointed unconditionally.
The applicants have warned to boycott the upcoming MP election if they are not appointed without any condition.
Speaking to media persons at Manipur Press Club today, one of the applicants Naorem Sanjoy said that many candidates who submitted their application to the Department 15 to 20 years back have not been appointed till date.
Meanwhile, he claimed that seven applicants from Sadar Hills ADC have been appointed without any condition.
He said that the officials concerned of the Department have held back the files of the said applicants although the Education Minister had given his approval.
The applicants further said that when enquired, the Department officials claimed that the appointment process has been halted owing to the rule and regulations.
He added that the guidelines are clearly mentioned in the 14 Rules of die-in-harness scheme.
He maintained that the education qualification, as provided, requires the applicant/claimant to possess the requisite educational qualification for the post applied for as per the recruitment rules existing at the time of death of the Government servant.
Naorem Sanjoy further warned to boycott the MP election if the authorities concerned fails to give a positive response at the earliest.
