National Lok Adalat held

Senapati, September 11 2017:
A National Lok Adalat with the watchword "Access to justice” was organized by District Legal Services Authority, Senapati under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Authority, Imphal at Senapati District and Sessions Court Complex on September 9 .
The Lok Adalat was conducted by two benches, one was chaired by District and Session Judge, Senapati Dr Ch Shantibala Devi chaired and assisted by two advocates, Koshia Mao and Anjali Pradhan while the other was chaired by CJM, Senapati Y Sony Kumar in which Advocate Komuo Mao and Advocate Heni Ahrai from Senapati Bar Association assisted .
Six pre-litigation (bank loan recovery case) bank cases were settled.Ten Motor Accident claim (MAC) cases were settled with Rs 16,65,000 and one litigated bank money suit were settled with amount Rs 1,58,000 .
Meanwhile, a Mega Mobile Traffic awareness was also conducted simultaneously at the Toll gate, Senapati Bazar by checking vehicles plying in the highway and public places .
While giving awareness to the public, the legal representatives elaborated the Motor Vehicles' Act and stated that private vehicles have to carry Registration Certificate (RC) book, driving licence, insurance certificate and Pollution control certificate while it is necessary for commercial vehicles to carry route permit and fitness certificate apart from other basic documents.
