First smokeless village in Manipur

Imphal, May 03 2018: Every household of Keikhu village, under Kshetrigao Kendra, Imphal East District, now boast of gas connection under "Gram Swaraj Abhiyan Sabka Saath Sabka Gao Sabka Vikas" scheme of the Government.

It is worth mentioning that before the launch of the scheme, out of 125 households of Keikhu village only 50 households had access to gas connection.

RBD Indane Service was instrumental in making the scheme successful by providing gas connection to every family of Keikhu village free of cost.

In a simple function held at Keikhu village, RBD Indane Service also distributed the gas cylinder, gas stove, regulator and gas pipe to the villager which was graced by Nahakpam Indrajit, MLA, Kshetrigao as chief guest, S Ibungoton Singh, State Level Coordinator Oil Industry, Manipur as president, O Lakshman, president, BJP Kshetrigao Mandal, K Chaoba, BDO, Kshetrigao, Patrick Golmei, Pradhan, Naharup Gram Panchayat, Panmei Engenchoa, Keikhu village chief as dignitaries.

Speaking on the occasion, Nahakpam Indrajit praised the initiative taken up by the State Government in ensuring gas connection to every family of Keikhu Village.

Robindro Sharma, proprietor of RBD Indane Service also expressed his satisfaction to Nahakpam Indrajit, MLA, Kshetrigao for his timely assistance in verifying the credentials of every family of Keikhu Village while enabling the Keikhu village to become the first smokeless village in Manipur.
