Prime accused in the murder of SDO, Kasom Khullen sub-division of Ukhrul district, Dr Th Kishan and his two subordinate staffs, Hopeson Ningshen of NSCN(IM) will be produced before the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ukhrul tomorrow for trial.
Informing this at a press conference, convener of the JAC formed in connection with the murder of Dr Th Kishan, his driver Rajen and Mandol Token, Y Kapoor said that as per order of the CJM issued on November 3 last, Ningshen, who is currently in Tihar Jail, New Delhi will be produced at the court of CJM, Ukhrul tomorrow.
The CJM also ordered three other co-accused, SS Major Aboktibo, Ashang and Johnny of NSCN (IM) to appear before the court.
However, as far as they are concerned, the convenor of the JAC said, the three men of the NSCN(IM) are yet to surrender to the police.
The JAC has been gathering detailed information of the case which CBI has been investigating.
They are also opening two cells in Delhi and Imphal to collect progress reports of the case.
According to information mentioned in the charge-sheet compiled with statements of 68 witnesses, the NSCN (IM) pressed the deceased SDO to pay Rs 20 lakh.
It also further stated that three other persons, Ramsing Ramthing and Kapkhui, who were abducted together with Kishan and his two staffs were released at Khuman Lampak bus terminus by the outfit.
After their release, they came to the house of one Bhumeshwor of Uripok Tourangbam Leikai, cashier of the SDO, Kasom Khullen.
They informed that they had been released with a strong threat not to disclose the matter to anyone.
Later, they also communicated with Hopeson Nigshen on February 15 and 16 .
The convener further informed the media persons quoting the contents of the charge-sheet that another house of Hopeson Ningshen is located at Deulahland, Imphal near the Tiny Tots School apart from Ukhrul with his wife Marnu.
Chairman of the JAC, Soram Tikendrajit said that as particular names of the accused persons were not provided in the CBI charge-sheet, the same is not the final one.
He also expressed dissatisfaction over the report of state DGP regarding insecurity for Ningshen to be lodged at jail in Manipur.
The DGP even mentioned that the situation in state is not good as there erupted large scale agitation at the time of murder of the SDO and his two sub-ordinate staffs.
He also observed that nothing was mentioned about the then DC of Ukhrul district, Pankaj Kumar who NCSN(IM) also admitted his involvement in the case in the CBI charge-sheet.
On the pretext of not knowing his whereabouts, the former DC, an IAS officer of Manipur-Tripura cadre is till at large, he said alleging that it is the weakness of the state government.
