Yet another complaint came up with the state human rights commission with regard to July 23 shooting incident.
This time from the injure victim side for not providing timely assistant by the government authority.
The complaint against alleged failure on the part of the government to extend timely help on the injured victim of July 23, 2009 Khairamband Bazar shoot out filed by P Golmei whose husband Mangol Golmei was among the injured five persons.
The Manipur Human Rights Commission has received the complaint but proceeding in response to the complaint is yet to start.
In the complaint lodged by P Golmei, it stated that her husband Mangal Golmei (59) son of Lemba Golmei of Maha Kabui-Namchnig, New Keithelmanbi is undergoing intensive treatment at RIMS Hospital, Imphal from bullet injury on his left arm following the shooting incident on July 23 along with four other persons.
Recalling the sequence of the incident as exposed by the Tehelka on Sanjit killing in fake encounter which related with the injuring of five other persons, the state government should have done justice by caring the injured with timely financial assistances and ex-gratia for all killed, the complainer demanded.
As the state government failed to do so, she prayed the commission to direct the state government for extending humanitarian help to the injured victims including her husband.
