Col A Rajiv assumes charge of Sainik School, meets Education Minister

In a significant step forward, Colonel A Rajiv, Principal of Sainik School Imphal on Friday met Education Minister Th Basanta Singh and apprised him about the various achievements of the institution.
Col A Rajiv was accompanied by Sainik School Vice Principal, Lt Col S K Singh.
During the meeting, Col A Rajiv informed the Minister that 14 cadets, forming a majority who cleared UPSC ND A written examination, are from Sainik School Imphal.
He also discussed the various issues of the school.
The Minister assured that all necessary steps which are required for the betterment of the school and foster an environment of academic excellence & holistic development will be undertaken.
According to a release issued by PIB (Defence Wing), Col A Rajiv of the Army Education Corps assumed the prestigious appointment of the Principal of elite Sainik School Imphal on October 17, 2024 .
He has an illustrious career and experience of approximately 3 decades in the field of education as an instructor and staff at various Institutions and strategic HQs of the Indian Army.
He has a vast experience of serving in Sainik School Balachadi in Jamnagar, Gujarat as registrar and Principal of Sainik School, Kazakootam, Kerala where he was a cadet as well.
Col A Rajiv also served in the Drass Sector during the Kargil War-1999 as an Infantry Company Commander in the Naga Regiment.
