KaPFA greets people on World Food Day

Imphal, October 15 2024: The Kangleipak Progressive Farmers Association (KaPFA) has extended their greetings on the occasion of "World Food Day" which is to be celebrated globally on October 16 on the theme "Right to food for a better life and a better future" .

Extending greetings to the people, especially farmers, the Kangleipak Progressive Farmers Association called on all to strive for Manipur to become agriculturally self-reliant.

Right to food was adopted by the UN Food and Agriculture Organisation on October 16, 1945 .

The objective of observing this day is to emphasize the recognition of food as a fundamental right, advocating for access to diverse, nutrient-rich diets that are safe, affordable, and accessible for everyone, it said.
