Imphal, July 08 2024: The Arts Society Manipur (ASM), has expressed profound sadness and condolence over the untimely demise of Dr Khumallambam Sarojini, retired Director of Arts and Culture, Government of Manipur and former Secretary of the Manipur State Kala Akademi.

Dr Sarojini passed away on the morning of July 2, 2024, said a release issued by ASM.

Arts Society Manipur convened a condolence meeting to mourn the demise of Dr Sarojini at its office premises in Ningthem Pukhri Mapal on Sunday.

During the meeting chaired by Arts Society Manipur president Thiyam Devendra Singh, members of the society observed two minutes of silence to pay respect to the departed soul.

The gathering also shared the grief of the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
