Farmer training / COVID-19 awareness drive continues

Imphal, September 07 2021: United Committee Manipur (UCM) in association with Pungdongbam Youth Physical Club conducted a farmer training cum Covid-19 awareness programme today at Pungdongbam Community Hall.

According to a press release issued by UCM the event was attended by Irungbam Prem (Ex-pradhan Pungdongbam Sekta G/P) as Chief Guest, Joychandra Konthoujam (President, UCM) as President, Athokpam Munan (Secy Pungdongbam Khun Dev Committee) as Guest of Honour and Birjeet Yanglem (Asst Technology & Manager ATMA I/E), T Dipu ( Asst Technology & Manager ATMA I/E) and Dr S Bisonath Sharama (Deputy Director AYUSH) as resource persons.

T Dipu and Y Birjit spoke at length about the pests that affect paddy, how to avoid them using pesticides and the proper ways of using fertilizers, respectively.

Dr S Bisonath Sharama, meanwhile, focused on precautionary measures against Covid-19, Ayush and medicinal plants.
