Travel Trade & Hospitality Stakeholders Meetings held

India tourism Imphal Ministry of Tourism, Government of India organised Travel Trade & Hospitality Stakeholders Meetings at Classic Grande, Imphal on May 2,2024 and at Sendra Park & Resorts Loktak on May 5, 2024 .
According to a release issued by Ngangkham Lilabati, Assistant Director, Indiatourism Imphal, the meetings were conducted under the chairmanship of Anil Oraw, Deputy Director General & Regional Director (North Eastern), Ministry of Tourism, Government of India.
Ibohal Singh, Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Manipur also attended both the interactive sessions.
During the meetings, revival plans for tourist inflow & image building plans were discussed.
Anil Oraw informed and assured full support of Ministry of Tourism, Government of India in terms of confidence & image building social media campaign exclusively for Manipur promoting Imphal, Loktak area; hosting of tour operators & bloggers educational trip, special workshop for enlisting of Loktak home stay under Incredible India Home Stay: Interstate FAM trip for tour operators, production of ebrochures and various promotional measures.
He also emphasised inviting the stakeholders to take part in forthcoming International Travel Mart dedicated to North East to be held in November 2024 and showcase Manipur.
Anil Oraw also announced a big tourism & environment awareness programme at Loktak on June 5, 2024 in celebration of World Environment Day.
Ibohal Singh agreed with the Regional Director and assured full support of the Department of Tourism Manipur .
He also shared that the Government of Manipur is aggressively planning to enlist all home stay bed & breakfast establishments for future consideration of all kinds of support and promotion.
The meetings were attended by representatives & president of Manipur Tour Operator Association, Manipur Tourism Forum Loktak Tourism Development Cooperative Society, State Chapter President IATO, Cooperate Manager, Classic Group of Hotels and others.
More than 60 tourism stakeholders including tour operators, hoteliers, home stay owners, tour guides also participated in the meetings.
