Imphal, March 10 2022: MLA elect from Keishamthong AC Nishikant Singh Sapam has categorically stated that he will fulfil all the assurances he had given earlier and stick to the ideology of transparency and accountability.

Nishikant, who also is the proprietor of The Sangai Express contested the 12th Assembly election from Kei-shamthong AC with Torch (Independent) as his symbol.

Speaking to the media after collecting his winning certificate from Imphal West DC complex today, Nishikant reiterated that he contested the election with a conviction to bring about a new Manipur with special focus on Keishamthong AC .

Saying that his topmost priority is to uplift Keisham-thong, Nishikant maintained that he will deliver all the assurances he had given earlier, though some consider him as a braggart.

"Whatever the outcome be, I will stick to my ideology and it is not up for sale," he asserted and maintained that he will work with complete transparency and accountability.

Nishikant beat his nearest rival Th Maheshwar of RPI (A) by a margin of 187 votes.

Notably, Nishikant said that he will not take even a penny for any contract works nor interfere in any transfer and posting of Government employees.

The MLA elect had also stated on numerous occasions that he is allergic to corruption.
