Jiribam, January 02 2021: The MP of Rajya Sabha who is also the titular king of Manipur, Sanajaoba Leisemba was accorded grand reception by the Civil Society Organisation of Borobekra Sub-Division, Jiribam District at the Borobekra Govt Higher Secondary School ground today.

The reception function was organised by the Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Mahashaba State Committee, All Jiribam Hindu Jagoron Association, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Youth Association, Schedule Caste Patni Parishad, Schedule Caste Namasudra Parishad, Borobekra Development Youth Organisation, Samaj Kailain Shamati and Borobekra Development Organisation.

During the programme three memorandums were submitted to the MP regarding the various issues and requirements of Borobekra Sub-Division.

In honour of M.P Rajya Sabha and the Titular king of Manipur several cultural dances were performed by the different community troops.

The programme was attended by Sanajaoba Leisemba, MP Rajyasabha, K Sarat Kumar Singh, Vice Chairman, Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited and Mathankhui Zimik, Headman, Hongmahn Tangkhul Village, Vice Chairman R Suisa Trust as a Chief Guest, President and Guest of honour respectively.

K Sarat Kumar, Vice Chairman, Manipur Food Industries Corporation Limited said the visits of MP Rajyasabha as well as Titular king of Manipur Sanajaoba Leisemba to the remote areas of Jiribam to take the stock of his people is highly appraisal.

He added, in Manipur once there were differences among the people, but under Chief Minister N Biren the State was brought united.

The present BJP led Government of Manipur has taken school Fagathansi Mission in Jiribam District also and under the scheme the Netaji High school of Borobekra Sub-Division, Jiribam District is upgraded.

Speaking at the function, Sanajaoba Leisemba said that today's grand reception by the people of Borobekra Sub-Division is unforgettable to him.

He added, his visit to Borobekra is to take the stock of his people.

He stated that the memorandum which was submitted by the people will be considered and try to fulfill the requirements of people by discussing with Chief Minister of Manipur.

Pointing to the deplorable condition of JT road, he said the government has already sanctioned 140 crores for the road and the construction work will start very soon.

He wished all for a peaceful and united Manipur in the coming days.
