Imphal, July 29 2013:
The State Cabinet today discussed the possible loss of large tracts of Manipur's territory on account of border fencing along Moreh sector of Indo-Myanmar border and subsequent displacement of people living in the outlying villages.
The State Cabinet deliberated on the media reports about the imminent loss of Manipur's territory and displacement of people, said Government spokesman M Okendro.
The matter would be discussed in another Cabinet meeting after gathering detailed information about the border fencing work.
However, the question of holding State PMT did not figure in today's Cabinet meeting.
Nonetheless, Okendro informed that the State Cabinet would consider the matter before the month of July ends after studying what other States have done in this regard.
