The National Identity Pro-tection Committee (NIPCO), Ereipak Enaat Chanura Loinasillon (EECHAL), Kon-thoujam Maning Tribal and Konthoujam Mamang Lagai-rong organised a discussion session on peaceful co-exis-tence at Konthoujam Maning tribal community hall today.
NIPCO president Medun Maring, EECHAL president T Ibemcha, Konthoujam Mamang Lagairong Thoubei K Jiten Rongmei, Konthou-jam Mamang Lagairong Khunbu K Gaipuilan Rong-mei, Konthoujam Maning Tribal Khunbu Gaithaolung Gonmei, Konthoujam Maning Tribal Club functionary Asang Golmei, KWA president Abina Golmei, Kon- thoujam Maning Tribal Meira Paibi president Khomdonbi Kamei and KMTDA chairman Sana Gangmei attended the functionas presidium members.
UCM vice-president Sunil Karam, Mapi Council advisor Th Manihar and JCILPS convenor-in-charge Kh Ratan spoke at the discussion session as resource persons.
In his speech, Th Manihar said that people of Manipur need to live together with harmony.
Stressing on the importance of studying the history and origin of Manipur, Th Manihar said that community-centric steps and notions pose serious threats to the integrity of Manipur.
After British forces left Manipur, India has been ruling the State through divisive tactics, he alleged.
As such, it is high time to detect who are Manipur's enemies and who are friends, he observed.
