Imphal, March 30 2022: The Deputy Commissioner, Imphal West district has informed that an ex-gratia assistance of Rs 50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand) shall be provided to the next of kin (NOK) of the deceased due to COVID-19 who are residing in Imphal West district subject to cause of death being certified as COVID-19 death.

The ex-gratia assistance shall be provided by the State from State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF), said an office memorandum issued by Th Kirankumar, DC Imphal West and Chairman of the District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Imphal West District.

The Disbursing Authority for COVID-19 Death Relief for Imphal West district is Th Kirankumar, IAS, DC, IW whose office is at DC Office Complex, Lamphelpat, Imphal-795001 while the Nodal Officer is Abdul Mazeed Shah, Branch Officer (Relief), DC's Bungalow Office, Babupara and his contact number is 8787399530 .

The memorandum further informed that one can collect the application form from Room no 2 (BP/Qtr 12), DC's Bungalow Office, Babupara.
