Imphal, August 29: The Postal Department in collaboration with the concerned district administration has started disbursement of NREGS wages through Post Office Savings Bank (POSB) accounts of the job card holders.

The scheme is already operationalised in Imphal West and Imphal East districts, informed a release.

Further, the Director of Postal Services Manipur has appealed to the concerned authorities to contact the designated Nodal Officer of Postal Department, R Kumar, in-charge-Customer Care Centre, Imphal (phone no 2443932) for any issue related to opening of SB accounts in Post Offices under NREGS, added the release.

Reporting course: Directorate of Information and Public Relations is conducting a 15-Day Basic Course in News Reporting under the Institute of Journalism of this Directorate from September 15 to October 3.Interested candidates may submit their applications in plain paper to Director on before September 10, informed a release.
