State logs three cases, three recoveries

Imphal, April 28 2022:
The state on Thursday reported three new positive cases of Covid-19 out of 207 samples tested in the last 24 hours, thus, registering 1.45 per cent positivity rate.
No death cases were reported in the last 24 hours and the toll stands at 2120 .
Till date, the virus has claimed lives of 194 vaccinated people, of which 61 had received the second dose of Covid vaccine.
In the last 24 hours, three patients were discharged from home isolation.
Number of active cases stands at 17 out of which 7 (41.18 per cent) are in home isolation.
There are 300 vacant beds available in JNIMS and 190 in RIMS.
So far, the state has recorded 11,432 positive cases and 118 fatalities since the beginning of the third wave of the pandemic.
The current month has reported 126 new positive cases and zero fatality.
The weekly number of new cases and new fatalities are 15 and 0 respectively.
According to official reports, all the three fresh cases (female) are from among the general population and they are from Imphal East, Imphal West and Ukhrul districts.
The cumulative number of positive cases has reached 137,220 (general population 1,32,206 and CAPF personnel - 5,014) .
Number of recovered cases is 1,35,083 (general population - 1,30,076 and CAPF personnel - 5,007) and number of active cases is 17 (general population).
The recovery rate is 98.44 per cent.
A total of 82 D-type and 25 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities in the last 24 hours.
On Wednesday, 2822 vaccine doses were administered and it took the cumulative number of vaccinated people to 15,55,462, out of which 12,02,447 had received second dose and 80,746 had taken precautionary doses.
As per data maintained by The People's Chronicle based on IDSP and CCR reports, number of total cases in different districts are Imphal West (48,746), Imphal East (30,444), Thoubal (10,160), Churachandpur (11,054), Kangpokpi (3134), Tamenglong (3478), Bishnupur 9842), Senapati (2493), Ukhrul (3277), Kakching (6896), Chandel (2725), Noney (1158), Tengnoupal (1201), Jiribam (1111), Kamjong (1036) and Pherzawl (465) .
Fatality counts in different districts are Imphal West (704), Imphal East (511), Thoubal (189), Churachandpur (168), Kangpokpi (67), Tamenglong (17), Bishnupur (205), Senapati (12), Ukhrul (51), Kakching (122), Chandel (42), Noney (5), Tengnoupal (15), Jiribam (7), Kamjong (5) and Pherzawl (0) .
Data analysed by this daily shows that the rate of infection remains 44,222 confirmed cases per million population (based on projected population of 31,03,000 as per NCP report) against the national average of 30,662 CPM.
Test rate has improved to 5,18,643 tests per million population against the national average of 5,95,505 TPM.
Case fatality rate came down to 1.54 per cent while the cumulative positivity rate stands at 8.53 per cent.
