Rally, painting competition held in celebration of Ayushman Pakhwada

Thoubal, September 27 2024: In celebration of Ayushman Pakhwada, the District Implementation Unit Thoubal organised a "Run for Health" rally under the aegis of the National Health Authority and State Health Agency.

Notably, Ayushman Pakhwada is being celebrated across the nation to mark six years of successful implementation of Ayushman Bharat Yojana from September 20 to 30 .

ADM Thoubal B Lokeshwor Sharma flagged off the rally from Deputy Commissioner Thoubal Office Complex.

The participants passed through Thoubal Melaground and reached the culmination point at Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Thoubal Office Complex at Thoubal Wangmataba.

Subsequently, an awareness program was organised at the conference hall of the National Health Mission located at the Complex.

Dr Y Nokul, CMO Thoubal; Ch Basanta, District Programme Manager, District Health Society Thoubal; community mobilizer Riyaj Sheikh and ASHA workers participated in today's event.

Separately, District Implementation Unit (DIU), AB-PMJAY Kakching in collaboratioil with District Health Society Kakching observed the 6 year anniversary of AB-PMJAY and ABDM at CHC Kakching today.

In this connection, a painting competition, was organised on the theme "A healthy lifestyle" as well as "Run for Health" rally.

Around 350 students from different schools in Kakching district participated in the painting competition.

The ceremony was graced by Anunay Anand (IAS), Assistant Commissioner Kakching; Dr Thoudam Rajen, CMO Kakching; Dr T Jullon, MO in-charge and Soibam Rajesh, DPM, DIU.
