Bpr/Chd/Ccp/Jbm/Kak/Kjm/Kpi/Non/Phz/Spi/Tml/Tpl/Thb/Ukl, January 27 2023: As observed across the country, 73th Republic Day was also celebrated across the state on Friday to commemorate the adoption of the country's constitution in 1950 .

Bishnupur
District Administration Bishnupur celebrated the 74th Republic Day at Mini Secretariat Ground in Bishnupur yesterday.

Deputy Commissioner Bishnupur, Lourembam Bikram unfurled the National flag and took salute from the 28 parade contingents commanded by Satyaam Takkhellambam, Additional SP (Law & Order) .

Appreciation and commendation certificates for distinguished services were presented to various officials and staff of the district during the celebration.

Addressing the gathering, L Bikram expressed that the hoisting of the National Flag on the tallest flagpole in NE India by Home Minister Amit Shah at INA Headquarters earlier this month is a proud and patriotic moment for the district and the State.

He stated that the recently concluded Sangai Festival-2022 held in Bishnupur for the first time at Moirang Khunou has witnessed more than 1.5 lakh visitors besides generating a sizable amount of revenue.

The DC also spoke on the War on Drugs campaign initiated by the Government, Meeyamgi Numit and Sub Division Development Monitoring Mission.

Chandel
District Administration Chandel also celebrated Republic Day at MAHA Union High School playground in Chandel.

DC Chandel, Mayanglambam Rajkumar unfurled the Tricolor and took salute of the marching contingents which comprised VDF, ASHA workers, Manipur Rifles and 21 Assam Rifles.

Appreciation certificates were handed over to officials & staff of the district for distinguished service.

Gifts were also presented to village chiefs of the district.

SP Chandel, Hemant Pandey; ADC Chandel, MD Firoz Khan; COs of 8th MR and 21 Assam Rifles along with DLOs, senior citizens, local clubs and CSOs of the district took part in the event.

Churachandpur
District Administration Churachandpur also celebrated the 74th Republic Day at Peace Ground, Tuibong.

DC Churachandpur, Sharath Chandra Arroju unfurled the National Flag and took salute from the parade contingents.

Distribution of commendations to 121 officials and staff of the district for distinguished service and 13 NGOs/ organisations/ individuals in recognition of their contribution towards the society were the main highlights of the event.

Moreover, Mualnuam ADC Office also celebrated its first Republic Day within the premises of the office with S Khaikhopau Ngaihte, ADC as the chief guest.

Jiribam
74th Republic Day was also observed at Jiribam Higher Secondary School playground by District Administration Jiribam.

DC Jiribam, W Malemnganba Chenglei unfurled the National Flag and took salute from the 21 parade contingents commanded by SDPO Jiribam, Takhellambam Inaobi Singh.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to 84 outstanding Government employees serving in the district.

Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jameson Hangshing; Additional SP, Emmanuel Fimate; DLOs and retired government officials attended the celebration.

Kakching
Kakching District Administration also celebrated Republic Day at Kakching Sumak Leikai ground, Kakching.

The celebration began with DC Kakching, Somorjit Salam inspecting the parade and unfurling the National flag.

He also took salute from 19 contingents commanded by SDPO Kakching, Konjengbam Geetchandra Singh.

Kabui Cultural Dance performance by Sangeet Natak Academy, Kakching; Leima Jagoi by Grace Cottage, Cultural & Educational Academy and Maring Cultural Dance by Victor High School, Kakching were the other highlights of the event.

Kamjong
District Administration Kamjong also celebrated Republic Day at Kamjong Higher Secondary School ground.

DC, Rangnamei Rang Peter unfurled the National Flag and took salute from the 15 march past contingents.

SP Kamjong, P Manjit; ADM, Ningeiram Leishang and CO of 8th AR; DLOs and CSOs of the district also attended the event.

Kangpokpi
The 74th Republic Day was also celebrated at the DC Office Complex by District Administration Kangpokpi.

DC Kangpokpi, Kengoo Zuringla unfurled the National Flag and took salute from 6 parade contingents led by DSP, Sheihang Khongsai.

The contingents included Kangpokpi District Police, Kangpokpi District VDF, JNV School, Kangpokpi High School, Eklavya Model Residential School (EMRS) Gamnom Sapormeina and ICDS Kangpokpi.

Appreciation certificates were distributed to 65 officials of various departments and others for their outstanding contribution.

Noney
District Administration Noney also observed the 74th Republic Day at Longmai III common ground, Noney District Headquarters.

DC Noney, Joseph Pauline Kamson unfurled the Tricolor and took salute from the 16 parade contingents led by Sangboi Gangte, Additional SP (NH-37) .

Appreciation certificates were also distributed to about 82 government employees.

SP Noney, N Madhunimai; ADC Noney, S Khapudang; SDO Noney, ZEO Noney, CRPF Assistant Commandants and DLOs of the district took part in the celebration.

Pherzawl
District Administration Pherzawl also celebrated Republic Day at DC Office Complex in Pherzawl DHQs.

DC Pherzawl, Haulianlal Guite unfurled the Tricolour and took salute from the parade contingents led by Golamthang Hatzaw, SDPO Thanlon.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to 58 Government employees.

The programme was attended by SP Pherzawl, A Ghaneshyam Sharma; Ch Sachi, ADC Pherzawl; Lunzamung Tungnung, Additional SP; DLOs and CSO leaders of the district.

Senapati
District Administration Senapati also celebrated Republic Day at Sanyi Dahrii Memorial Sports Complex, Khabung Karong.

DC Senapati, Mahesh Chaudhari unfurled the National Flag and took salute from the 23 parade contingents led by H Timothy Maram, SDPO Mao.

Showcasing of tableaux by various departments of the district, cultural dance and presentation of commendation certificates to 42 Government officials and 28 police personnel were the main highlights of the event.

Tamenglong
District Administration Tamenglong also celebrated Republic Day at Apollo ground, Tamenglong DHQ.

DC Tamenglong, Pawan Yadav unfurled the National Flag and took salute from the 29 parade contingents led by Joshia Pamei, Deputy Commandant 5th MR, Tamenlong.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to 85 Government employees of the district.

Tengnoupal
District Administration Tengnoupal also celebrated Republic Day at Tengnoupal Government High School ground.

DC Tengnoupal, Ranjan Yumnam unfurled the National flag and took salute from the march past contingents led by Yumnam Premjit, Additional SP (Ops) Tengnoupal.

Certificates of appreciation were presented to 52 officials and staff of the district.

Raju Mandal, Officiating CO, 20th Assam Rifles also attended the event.

Moreover, Additional DC, L Bobby also unfurled the National Flag at the Republic Day celebration in ADC Complex Moreh.

O Sukumar, ASP and Ch Anand Singh, OC Moreh Police took part in the celebration.

Thoubal
The 74th Republic Day celebration was also organised by District Administration Thoubal at Basu Ground opposite SP Office Thoubal.

DC Thoubal, A Subhash Singh unfurled the National Flag and took salute from the 30 march past contingents led by W Ibocha Singh, SDPO Thoubal.

Appreciation and commendation certificates were presented to staff and officials of the district.

Moreover, District Bar Association Thoubal and District & Session Judge Thoubal also celebrated Republic Day at Thoubal Court Complex.

Thoubal District & Session Judge, Beny Ngangom unfurled the National Flag in the presence of Thoubal District Bar Association president, Khangembam Arunkumar; Chief Judicial Magistrate Thoubal, Masana E Panmei and other members of the Bar Association.

Ukhrul
The 74th Republic Day was also celebrated at Ukhrul on Thursday with DC Ukhrul, Krishna Kumar unfurling the National Flag and taking salute from 33 parade contingent led by SDPO Ukhrul, Khwairakpam Sunil Kumar.

Appreciation certificates for distinguished services were presented to 38 officials and staff of the district.

Pipe band show, musical display and traditional folk dance marked the celebration.

Assam Rifles
Different Battalions of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR(S) celebrated the 74th Republic Day in various places of the State on Thursday.

The celebrations were organised by Somsai Battalion of 10 Sector, Loktak Battalion, Keithelmanbi Battalion, Sehlon Battalion, Sajik Tampak Battalion, Tengnoupal Battalion, Churachandpur Battalion, Shangshak Battalion, Phundrei Battalion, Khuga Battalion and Shangshak Battalion, said a release issued by PRO of IGAR(S) .
