Imphal, April 20 2025: The International Sanamahi Association (ISA) organised a National Conference on "Sanamahism" at GP Womens' College, Imphal today.

It was attended by L Jayentakumar Singh, former Education Minister; Sapam Bheigya, president, ISA and Prof Sagolsem Lanchenba Meetei, Principal, DM College of Arts and Dean of Humanities, DM University as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, L Jayentakumar said that ISA has taken a good initiative by organising the National Conference which will help in promoting and spreading awareness about the indigenous faith of Manipur.

He also elaborated on the role of the people especially the youths in preserving and promoting the Sanamahi religion.

As part of the event, a book titled "Sanamahi Lainingna Takpi Tambirambasing" edited by Sapam Bheigya was also released.
