Imphal, July 08 2024: The Rising Sun Club, Thongju Waikhom Khongnang, has expressed its heartfelt appreciation to Thongju AC MLA, Thongam Biswajit Singh; Keirao AC MLA, Lourembam Rameshwor for their proactive efforts in preventing the breaching of Imphal River in Thongju Waikhom Khongnang area.

In a release, Rising Sun Club also conveyed its appreciation to Nameirakpam Chingkhei, former Pradhan, Thongju Part II; Chirom Romiyo, Zilla Parishad Member, Thongju; Koijam Subhas, Administrator, Kyamgei GP; Oinam Tomba, member, Kyamgei GP Ward No 4; Okram Ranisana, member, Thongju Part-II GO; volunteers of Arambai Tengol Unit 28/29; and members of Manipur University-KSA Unit and SEVA/YPC/YSC for their assistance in reinforcing the riverbanks in vulnerable sites.

Further, Rising Sun Club extended its appreciation to Kakchaingtabam Devadatta Sharma, Director, Horticulture, Manipur; Manipur University Relief Committee and Bharat Vikas Parishad for providing essential food items to the flood affected people staying in the relief camps.

The assistance was provided as part of the observation of Dr Suraj Prakash Ji Jayanti.
