Jiribam, May 08 2025: In connection with International Day for Biological Diversity, the Jiribam Forest Division organised a spot painting competition today at the auditorium hall of RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya School, Jiribam.

The competition held under the theme "Harmony With Nature and Sustainable Development" was participated by around 100 students of the institute.

The competition was inspected by Jiri College, Assistant Professor L Jaminikanta Singh, RK Sanatombi Vidyalaya Jiribam, Arts teacher Th Hirendra Singh and Jiribam DFO, Elangbam Nirmala Chanu.

Speaking in this connection, Range Forest Officer, Headquarter N Ningthemcha said that the painting competition was organised with the aim to protect and preserve the trees and to instill the young minds on the importance of trees which serves as vital for the environment and for the existence of human beings.
