Imphal, January 09 2013:
While hitting out at PRO Assam Rifles for their 'cheap' rebuttal, the proscribed UG group, United National Liberation Front (UNLF) has categorically stated that the agents of Assam Rifles who lured youths of Manipur with money to stage them as actors in surrender drama are enemies of the people of the society.
In a statement, UNLF said that people might not be interested in the news of the seven youths who fled camp of 42 Assam Rifles after they came to know that they are being arranged to produce as cadres of certain UG groups in a surrender drama.
But they must note that the incident is an exposure of the secret surrender drama which the Indian security forces have been organising in the state to demoralise the ongoing revolutionary movement.
Besides, they are also using the actors of such surrender dramas in extortion and criminal activities and then killing them in fake encounters with the sole purpose to disgrace the revolutionary movement.
On the other hand, the rebuttal of Assam Rifles is nothing but a vain way to get away from the exposed secrets and the ugly truths, UNLF said.
Following the disclosure, the seven youths and their family members will not be able to live peaceful since the security forces will be looking for every possible opportunity to harass them.
In such a situation, people of the locality as well as the society should take up precautionary measures to defend themselves, the statement added.
Meanwhile, the two agents of Assam Rifles, Sagolshem Purnima and her husband Gambhir from Andro Kharam Dam and Thokchom Rameshwar from Heirok Part II who lured the youths on the pretext of jobs and money should be denounced as enemies of the society.
They are like a contagious disease and it is upto the people to save the society from such diseases, UNLF stated.
