KNA cadres extort money from PMGSY workers, alleges KNF-N

The Kuki National Front-Nehlun (KNF-N), a non SoO Kuki militant group has alleged that the cadres of Kuki National Army (KNA) under Kuki National Organization (KNO) extorted money from PMGSY workers at Bongbal Kholen area.
The outfit Information and Publicity Secretary, Gou alias Kuki alleged that on November 6 at around 3.30 pm, KNA cadre Onminlun Haokip and one unknown person in one Honda Activa went to meet the workers of PMGSY between Bongbal Kholen and Kaihao village to extort money apart from taking away the JCB key and threatening the driver.
He said that KNA is a SoO group and an entity of the tripartite talks with the Governments under the umbrella of KNO who were bounded by strict ground rules and such unlawful activities are not expected from them.
However, Gou alias Kuki said that the KNA cadres have on several occasion deliberately break the ground rules and indulge in any unlawful activities in Bongbal Kholen areas which has tremendously disrupt the peaceful social harmony in the areas.
He urged the State Government to investigate the matter and take prompt action against the cadres of KNO/KNA if it really is committed to upholding the peace talks with them while adding that almost all other Kuki militants have already avoided such unlawful activities after the tripartite talks.
