Convergence meeting on BBBP held

Ccpur, November 02 2018: Convergence meeting with line departments and other stakeholders on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao (BBBP) initiative was organised by district administration, Churachandpur today at the conference hall of DC office here.

Shyam Lal Poonia DC Ccpur chaired the meeting which was attended by heads of the line departments, ASHAs, Anganwadi Workers and other stake holders.

Amongst other agendas deliberated in the meeting included facilitating service delivery structures/schemes which are responsive to issues of gender and children's rights and action plan for the month of November and December.

Whereas Medical department has been entrusted to activate the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Technique (PC & PNDT) cell in the district hospital within a week's time.

It has also been decided that the department conducted training of District Appropriate Authority (DAA) and other functionaries on PCNDT within this month.

The task of identifying families which have completed all immunization for girl child has also been entrusted to the Medical department.

At the same time, the Education office is being tasked to conduct orientation programme for School Management Committee (SMC) members within this month and to identify toppers in Class VHI, X and XII in every Government school in the district.

ICDS has been assigned to conduct orientation programme for Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition Committee within the current month and to conduct training for frontline workers (AWWs/ASHAs) within December this year.

Kabib K, Sr SP Ccpur, T Kammuanlal Simte CEO ADCC, Glory Kim Singsit Nodal Officer of BBBP Ccpur and other heads of the line departments attended the meeting.

Meanwhile, as part of the Vigilance Week Observance programme, Shyam Lal Poonia administered 'Integrity Pledge' to the DLOs present in the meeting.
