MSF urges Chief Minister on teachers

Imphal, August 29: Observing some lecturers/teachers of Higher Secondary Schools and High Schools have been transferred to other Departments like SCERT/Adult Education/BSEM/COHSEM without arranging for replacement of those lecturers/lecturers who have been transferred away, the Manipuri Students' Federation (MSF) has urged upon the Chief Minister and the Education Minister to look into the matter and take up necessary actions to fill up the posts of lecturers/teachers left vacant following transfer of teachers/lecturers from some Higher Secondary Schools/High Schools.

Through memoranda submitted to the Chief Minister and the Education Minister, MSF appealed to the State Government to appoint officers required in such offices like Adult Education, SCERT, BSEM, COHSEM etc under suitable recruitments from among eligible candidates.

It also mentioned that during a survey it conducted, many schools were found having disproportionate teacher-pupil ratio.
